Bugfix update release (v0.46.1a)
Second Legacy » Devlog
After compiling a list of both known issues and unknown ones that were reported to me by players over the last few days, I'm releasing a bugfix update to Second Legacy's demo that addresses them.
RELEASE NOTES - 0.46.1a
Logic fixes
- Now the chain hits multiplier is applied immediately when an enemy destruction sequence starts, instead of at the final time of the explosion, so players do not have to maintain firing until the last moment to earn their rightful bounty.
- Now an auto-shield-bomb won't reset the EX forecast state. Only chained hits and the chain lifetime gauge are reset. EX forecast state naturally decreases when no chain is maintained.
- Chain hits and EX forecast are now properly reset both when the player ark is damaged and when it explodes during a boss phase.
- Now enemies stop firing when there are no player arks to aim at, and when relevant they retreat instead of flying around.
- Fixed tutorial step failure conditions to allow auto-shield bombs or damage depending on the objective.
- Now all enemies retreat when failing a tutorial step, before retrying it.
- Changed enemies behavior so that they don't fire unfair bullets when their cannons are offscreen.
Input mapping fixes
- Fixed a crash that could occur when using the device config wizard and attempting to apply a config preset afterwards.
- Removed hardmapping of keyboard keys used for default controls (arrow keys, space, enter, B, V, left ALT) except ESC that cannot be remapped.
- ESC can now be used to cancel input mapping.
- Fixed incorrect management of input remapping for keyboard keys.
- Adjusted display of higher keyboard key codes in the input mapping menu.
- Added a menu option to reset all controls to defaults.
- Now input mapping requests can also be issued in the options menu using a controller (previously only worked correctly with the keyboard).
Presentation fixes
- Added missing fade-out/fade-in transitions.
- Inputs are no more taken into account once a fade-out-to-black transition is active.
- Tweaked UI in the controls mapping wizard and controls mapping menus to unify them with other display states.
- Minor training dialog text fixes.
- Tweaked dialog text speed parameters.
If you feel like you were affected by anything listed above, you may download this new version and play the game once again. As usual, if you have any feedback to offer, feel free to contact me. Cheers!
